Top 5 Reasons YOU should be using Social Media

Social media has been popular since the early 2000s, but there are plenty of businesses that have not taken advantage of this online power tool. The over-arching question is normally “How can social media really benefit my business?” Here are the top five reasons that social media can benefit your company and enhance your online visibility.

Organizational Spotlight: WIRE-Net

WIRE-Net

We Get Manufacturing. Yes, that’s our focus. Despite the naysayers, the media (we still love you though) and our friends on the hill, manufacturing is not dead! Many of our colleagues and perhaps even some competitors have questioned our decision to work in this so-called “dead sector” of the economy.

We all drive to work in manufactured cars, talking (safely) on manufactured smartphones and arrive to an office full of automation and manufactured products. Whether you are in Northeast Ohio or the Northern Hemisphere, manufacturing is here to stay. Who has been supporting this sector long before we had the notion to focus our skills on these companies? WIRE-Net. Click here to learn more about the group that supports your local tool and die shop, your local electric motor manufacturer and your local injection molder. WIRE-Net, good people doing extraordinary work.

Is there such a thing as social media etiquette?

A few months ago, we sent out a tweet briefly describing our services. A twitter user replied a few hours later describing their similar services along with our post. Rude. Has that ever happened to you? Have people hijacked and/or spammed your posts before? Although it is not explicitly written as "social media law," there is such a thing as social media etiquette. CAP

As many of Felber PR & Marketing’s clients are returning to tradeshows, they continue to ask themselves how they can better maximize their investment. Business sponsorship opportunities such as reception and badge sponsorships can be a good investment, but there’s something else that can do so much more. Our clients are discovering social media and are asking for help in using it to promote their attendance at tradeshows. Read the case study on our website.

Manufacturing News

The 5S organization method is used to organize a workspace for efficiency and effectiveness. These 5S phrase are: sorting, set in order, shine, standardizing, and sustaining. When properly used, 5S can be a tool for flow, quality, productivity, and safety. Avanzar, Toyota’s interior and seating supplier for its San Antonio, Texas truck plant, took the approach to not let employees go beyond the first “S”, which was to “scrap and separate,” or "sort" for the past 1-1/2 years.
